Elgato's Eve Degree is a HomeKit-Enabled Temperature Sensor with LCD Display
Elgato is adding to its substantial lineup of HomeKit-enabled devices with the new Eve Degree.
Temperature and humidity
Data collected from Eve Degree can be accessed on iOS devices and even the Apple Watch.
The standout feature of the small temperature and humidity is the built-in LCD sensor that will show data even without having to locate an iOS device.
Powered by a user-replaceable, coin-cell battery the device uses Bluetooth technology to connect with an iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. No hub is necessary.
Thanks to HomeKit support, users can check environmental data using Siri, the iOS 10 Home app, and the free Eve app. Using Elgato’s app, users can view temperature, humidity, and air pressure measurements as graphs that can even be exported.
With an IPX3 splash proof rating, the Eve Degree can be used both outdoors or indoors.
Available soon
Eve Degree will arrive next week on Tuesday, June 6 and retail for $69.95. It will be available on Amazon and through Elgato’s site.
