One of the most popular RSS readers is adding some great new features.
Reeder 5 combines features of regular RSS readers along with read-it-later apps into a great package.
A headlining feature of the new app is iCloud sync. That will allow you to keep all of the information in sync on your iPhone or iPad.
Alternatively, you can still use third-party sync options including Feedbin, Feedly, Feed Wrangler, FeedHQ, NewsBlur, The Old Reader, Inoreader, BazQux Reader, FreshRSS, Instapaper, and Pocket.
And just like other popular apps, Reeder 5 offers home screen widgets for your iPhone. You can view your most recent articles that can be customized to show items from feeds, folders, searches or tags.
Another addition is the ability to mark items as read while scrolling. The option is off by default by can be turned on as a per-account basis.
Reeder 5 is designed for the iPhone and all iPad models. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for $4.99.
A Mac version of the app is $9.99 on the Mac App Store.
The app is a new purchase, even if you’ve previously downloaded an earlier version of Reeder.
