Time Warner joins Hulu
Hulu is getting some help as it gets closer to launching a live-streaming video service. Time Warner has bought a 10 percent in the company, according to Variety.
Time Warner joins existing Hulu owners Disney, 21st Century Fox, and Comcast.
As part of the investment, Turner will bring its cable networks to Hulu’s new service, which is expected to launch in 2017. These include TNT, TBS, CNN, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, truTV, Boomerang, and Turner Classic Movies.
Variety notes:
Hulu, with the cash infusion and Time Warner’s strategic backing, now has additional firepower to challenge subscription VOD leader Netflix in acquiring original shows, cutting licensing deals and expanding its service.

A blue “iPhone 7” after all?
We’ve heard that Apple would be adding a new color to its 2016 iPhone lineup. First, that color appeared to be blue, and then “dark space gray.”
China Unicom has posted a teaser image that seems to confirm that the “iPhone 7” will launch with a blue option, according to TechOrz (via BGR).
There’s no way to confirm this news, although it’s worth noting that China Unicom is an official iPhone carrier. If the image to the left is correct, it suggests that Apple has chosen a hue that is much lighter than originally thought.
The next iPhones are likely to be announced early next month.
