The 5 Best Games for Netflix Subscribers
While you’ve probably heard of Apple Arcade and the more than 200 games available to subscribers, there is another interesting way to enjoy some top-notch games. Netflix has been quietly adding titles to its own offering.
Instead of needing a standalone subscription to play the games, all of the titles are available to Netflix subscribers.
Here are the five best so far.
Desta: The Memories Between
Ustwo, the developer of the classic Monument Valley series, is behind Desta: The Memories Between. In the surreal game, you’ll fall into a dreamscape and experience turn-based exploration.
The character-driven rogue lite offers unfolding dreams each night. Desta will try to navigate the dreamworld that features shattered remnants of previous locations and relationships. Each of the people that Desta meets feature exceptional abilities and a unique connection to the world. As a nice touch, the game is designed for players of all skill levels to enjoy.
Spitfarer
Spitfarer is a cozy and casual management game. You’ll play as a ferry master to the great beyond. You’ll need to build a boat to explore and then care for the spirits before releasing them. Sporting beautiful art and hand-drawn animation, you’ll try to manage and improve your ferry and forge relationships with the passengers.
You’ll keep busy with a number of other activities including farming, mining, harvesting, cooking, and much more.
Netflix Heads Up!
Get ready to party with Netflix Heads Up! The special edition of the popular party game from Ellen DeGeneres features 28 decks inspired from Netflix hits Stranger Things, Bridgerton, Squid Game, and others along with other entertainment channels.
To share the fun with everyone, you can record the game to post on social networks.
Lucky Luna
Lucky Luna isn’t your usual platformer. In the game, inspired by Japanese folklore, you’ll be guiding the titular Luna through dungeons and temples to unlock the secrets of her past. You’ll swipe right and left through each treacherous environment. But one big part is missing—the jump button.
That means you’ll have to think differently while play and exploring the dungeons. You’ll need to collect cryptic tablets that will help reveal more of Luna’s story.
Stranger Things: 1984
Netflix and Stranger Things go together like peanut butter and jelly. So it’s no surprise that Netflix is offering a great game celebrating the popular series.
Head back in time in Stranger Things: 1984. In the retro action adventure, you’ll join Hopper and the kids for missions around Hawkins, and even the Upside Down. You’ll explore familiar surroundings like the Mirkwood Forest and Hawkins Lab and even find previously unseen areas. Gamers will puzzles with the unique abilities of each character. For example, Lucas uses his Wrist Rocket.
Make sure to collect all of the Eggs and gnomes you can find to see what you might be able to unlock.
