Twelve South HiRise 2 Deluxe Charging Dock

Our pick for the best iPhone dock goes to the Twelve South HiRise 2 because of its great design, extremely sturdy base, and its ability to charge virtually any Lighting product including an iPhone, iPod, iPad, and even an Apple TV remote.

Why the Twelve South HiRise 2 is the best?

The Twelve South HiRise 2 solves many of the issues that plague most charging stands because of its heavy-duty design.

It has an incredibly sturdy and grippy base that is twice as heavy as its predecessor. This means that heavier devices like an iPad Pro can sit on this stand without toppling it over. It also has an adjustable support post which means even if you have a large, rugged case on your device, you can be confident it will be able to hold it securely while charging.

On top of all that, this dock comes in two beautiful colors, a silver and a new black that matches Apple’s matte black iPhone 7 very well. It also comes with an MFi-certified Lightning cable as well as a micro-USB cable if you’re looking to charge other, non-Apple devices.

Our experience with the Twelve South HiRise 2

We’ve been using the HiRise 2 since it hit the market and couldn’t be more pleased. It looks perfect on any desk and will always keep your iPhone charged. That’s a winning combination.

Also Great

And it shouldn’t come as a surprise, but even Apple has an official way for you to dock and charge the iPhone. While the dock has a built-in Lightning plug, you’ll still need to provide your own cable. But as a plus, you can use Touch ID without having to remove an iPhone from the dock. A 3.5mm plug on the back allows you to plug in wired headphones or a speaker to rock out while listening to music. But it lacks a number of features compared to the HiRise 2 like the ability to fit pretty much any case.
