Time mixed with mathematics and geography

Removed from the App Store

Curious Clock displays the time in terms of mathematical operations. You have to solve the equations in order to find out the time, unless you cheat and press the clock icon to reveal the current time.

Solve the time. Curious Clock displays the current time for your location using math equations. The first equation is for the hour, followed by minutes and seconds. You can also tap the clock icon at the top to display the actual time instead of trying to solve the equations. This is the perfect kind of Apple TV clock for mathematicians.

What is it about?

If you want to keep your mind active, Curious Clock is for you. To get the current time, you have to solve three mathematical equations. The app also has a changing background color to reflect the time of day, and you can click various geographic locations to find the time there. Curious Clock also provides you with sunrise and sunset times, rounding out the app into a full-featured time display.

For those who...

  • Need to find out international times

Not for those who...

  • You don't like doing math
  • You aren't interested in more than a simple current time display in your location

Why we love it

It's fun to keep your mind active when you check the time, and Curious Clock provides complex math equations to do just that. The display is elegant and well laid out, and the ability to find out sunrise and sunset times is an added bonus.
