Welcome to First Baptist Jacksonville! We’re glad you’re here! First Baptist Church Jacksonville has a storied past of sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. Today, we’re thrilled to bring the same message of salvation by grace alone to you here. While the medium may look different than generations past, the message remains the same. We may never sit under the same roof in Jacksonville to worship, but we can worship the same living Christ together, thanks to incredible advancements in technology.

We’re thankful for a legacy of faithful men of God who have shared the good news of Jesus Christ with the city and around the world for more than 175 years. Today, Dr. Heath Lambert carries the baton of faithfulness forward as he powerfully preaches each week.

When you worship with us, here’s what you can expect:

Scripture Above All Else: Everything that we say and do is guided by God’s word, the Bible. We believe the Bible has the answer for all of life’s questions, and leaves nothing for us to figure out on our own.

Salvation by Grace Alone: We are sinners in need of a Savior. God has given us the gift of eternal life in His son, Jesus. The Bible tells us, “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9). We need this gift because “there is none righteous, not even one” (Romans 3:10).

We Worship the Living God: 11The Lord is worthy of our worship, and all that we say and do each week points us to this time together that you’ve joined us for today!
“For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” Philippians 2:9-11.
