*** Track airplanes without expensive equipment! Best DIY project ever! ***

This app is an essential tool for any aircraft spotter! It works on iPhone, iPad or Apple TV and shows airplanes in close vicinity using data provided by Java server called adsb_hub running on desktop, laptop or Raspberry Pi 2+. Mobile app is not using FAA feed or external web sites to retranslate the data. That means there are no artificial delays preventing delivery of the up to date information as soon as possible. In order to reduce power and network traffic consumption all data sent between app and server is compressed. For server side you can use pretty much any computer, cheap USB receiver and antenna with good sensitivity on frequency 1090MHz. However you can try app without setting up server side using one of existing P2P feeds or play Demo recording of the traffic that is available immediately after installation of the app.
Inside the app you can have list of airplanes with altitude, speed, heading, callsign/tail number or monitor them on map in realtime. For selected airplane it's possible to obtain additional information about particular flight or airframe. As a bonus there are 2 additional layers available on map: airports and image from Doppler radar. RealADSB can record a live session to replay it later on. If you have any questions feel free to contact us using contacts described on page.
