CrudeBox Changes To PrudeBox, Gets Approved
April 26, 2009

"Applications must not contain any obscene, pornographic, offensive or defamatory content or materials of any kind (text, graphics, images, photographs, etc.), or other content or materials that in Apple’s reasonable judgement may be found objectionable by iPhone or iPod touch users.”So the team went back to the drawing board and decided to remove and change a few of the sounds that they thought Apple had a problem with. The application was submitted a second time and once again, CrudeBox was deemed too offensive by Apple's review process. Instead of giving up, they tried something else. They chose to poke fun at the whole idea of CrudeBox being too offensive. They changed the icons and graphics to be more "flamboyant," and changed the name of the application to the more appropriate PrudeBox. The application was then submitted for a third time. PrudeBox is now officially available at the App Store thanks to a couple "flamboyant" changes. It's Alkali Media's own little way of poking fun at Apple's review process. PrudeBox is available at the App Store for $.99. It is compatible with the iPhone and second generation iPod touch.
