J.D. Power and Associates conducted a study between July and December of 2008, with 2,648 smartphone users who have owned their phones for less than two years, and the results indicate that users love their iPhones.
Apple was number one on the list, grabbing 791 points out of 1,000. In comparison, the industry average was 751 points. L.G. was next on the list with 771 points, followed by Samsung with 759, HTC with 744, RIM's BlackBerry with 739, Palm with 736, and finally Motorola with only 659 points.
J.D. Power indicates that the key factors for residential smartphone owners were ease of operation (30 percent), operating system (22 percent), features (21 percent), physical design (18 percent), and battery function (9 percent).
