Overview:

Oh, where to begin... iPoop presents a simple method of identifying your, um... quality (for lack of a better word) of feces, and will offer some ideas on how to change your eating habits, to ensure a healthier you. Your excrement is a great way to monitor your digestive health (in case you didn't know.) img_00034

Features:

iPoop allows you to select the best comparison from several choices in three catagories: Frequency (or rate per day), Color, and Shape. Once you have selected the closest resemblance to your personal excretion, you press the flush button. This takes you a menu that will tell you all about potential reasons for your poop looking the way it does. Not only that, but it offers fun facts about our natural waste as well! Yay!

The Breakdown

The Good:

I'd like to start this section by saying that this app is hilarious! iPoop is incredibly informative, but I have not yet stopped laughing while writing this review - which is a huge plus to me. Perhaps I'm just that immature... Anyway, let's start at the main menu. The icons are simple, yet very clever. The colors to choose from include: Black, Brown, Red, Yellow, and White. Now, I personally have never experienced four of five of these, so to see that even produced a chuckle. Tee hee. The shape icons, however, could not be better. Choose from a rain cloud, a crescent tube, a group of pebbles, a loaf of bread or a snake. I mean, really? How can it get better than that? img_00052 After selecting the proper icon, you will be directed to the "Potential Causes" screen. Here you are given information, which is completely factual, on the various forms of fecal matter - depending on what you entered on the main menu. You are given one fact, but have the option to view several others. This is where the fun facts come in. Facts like this: "The word poop comes from the Old English word Popen, meaning to pass gas." Did you know that? Cause I sure didn't... img_00071

The Bad:

Honestly, iPoop is what it is. There are only a couple of tiny little issues with this app. First, it's $.99 - which is really nothing, but most of this info you could probably find on the internet for free, if you're that into it. The information provided is adequate, but there is room for expansion for sure. However, to counter that argument, there will be updates to this app which will hopefully offer more fun facts and insight into the world that is your poop. I can't stop laughing...

The Verdict:

All in all, this app is worth its salt. It's a pretty decent monitor for your health and dietary needs, but it's also incredibly funny (but, again, I may just be that immature...) img_00021img_00062
