Doom Resurrection Gameplay Video
June 11, 2009
Yesterday we reported that Doom Resurrection would be making its way to the iPhone and iPod touch, and at that time all we really knew was that it would be released in about "a month or so." Apparently one day can do a lot for a game because we now have more details and even a gameplay trailer for Doom Resurrection. If only everything in the industry worked this quickly.
According to TouchArcade, Doom Resurrection is going to be an on-rails shooter. Yep, on-rails, as in you won't be controlling where your character is heading. The game will, however, allow you to aim your weapon using the iPhone's accelerometer, shoot with an on-screen button, and there will also be the ability to dodge incoming attacks via an on-screen button.
Doom Resurrection will have 8 levels across some impressive looking 3D environments, and you can expect about 4-6 hours of total gameplay. Id Software still doesn't have an official release date or price. Instead, they released some new screenshots and a gameplay video which you can view below.
