Fast & Furious Released On Blu-Ray, Access Special Features With Virtual Car Garage App

The 2-disc special edition of Fast & Furious has finally been released on Blu-ray, which means it's time to try out the new companion iPhone and iPod touch app that Universal Studios has claimed to be so innovative. If you have a BD-Live enabled Blu-ray player, Fast & Furious 2-disc special edition on Blu-ray, and an iPhone or iPod touch connected to your home Wi-Fi network, you should head on over to the App Store and download Fast & Furious: Virtual Car Garage 2.0 free of charge.  The app will allow you to interact directly with the virtual car garage feature located on the disc, which will allow you to access and interact with 3D models of five cars from the film.  The app features the ability to access bonus tech specs, customize cars, share them with friends, and post them on your Facebook page.  Fast & Furious: Virtual Car Garage 2.0 will also unlock an exclusive, never-before-seen, bonus feature starring the one and only Paul Walker. This is merely the first of many Universal Studios Blu-ray discs to utilize iPhone and iPod touch-enabled features.  It will be interesting to see what other kinds of interaction they have planned for other film releases.
