Forget Waiting Until Saturday, iPhone OS 3.0.1 Now Available

Early this morning we reported that Apple would be issuing an update to fix the highly publicised SMS bug sometime on Saturday, but forget waiting, iPhone OS 3.0.1 is now immediately available for download via iTunes.
The update information simply states, “Fixes SMS vulnerability.” The update is available for the iPhone, iPhone 3G, and iPhone 3GS. So start downloading the update and patch that hole!
Don’t forget, if you are running jailbroken hardware you should probably hold off on this update until the Dev-Team releases their own update.
