iPhone Games On Sale, Get Them While The Getting Is Good
August 4, 2009
It's about that time again, time for another massive list of great games that are on sale in the App Store. Some of the games listed below are actually on sale for the very first time, so there may just be something for everyone.
Puzzle Quest Chapter 1 and 2: This is one of my personal favorites. Puzzle Quest features the usual match-three style gameplay, but throws in an RPG element that will having you constantly coming back for more. The game has been available at the price of $7.99 for the longest time, but it is now on sale for only $4.99.
Guinness World Records: Contains a wide variety of mini-games, online leader boards, single-device multiplayer, and the ability to customize your characters. They are also holding a contest for the best player. If it's you, your name will be in the 2010 Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition. Normally priced at $4.99, it is now available for $.99.
Ice Road Truckers: If you couldn't tell already, this one is based on the hit television show. The game allows you to take control of one of five trucks as you attempt to drive your way across the ice roads. Normally priced at $3.99, it is on sale for the first time for $1.99.
Globall: This one probably needs no introduction, so we will let Trevor Sheridan's review speak for the game (Hint: He called it a "Must Buy"). Globall has fluctuated in price quite a bit, but it is now on sale again for $.99.
Bookworm: PopCap makes great casual games, and Bookworm is no exception. It is a simple word-puzzle game with a PopCap touch. The game is normally priced at $4.99, but it is on sale for $.99. If you have any intentions of picking this one up, I suggest you do it immediately as the sale price is only effective until tomorrow!
Real Soccer: Gameloft has been playing with their prices a lot lately, but we aren't complaining. Real Soccer features 198 teams with real players, 12 different stadiums, and the ability to compete online over Wi-Fi. It is normally priced at $1.99, but it is on sale now for $.99.
Hero of Sparta: Here is another case of crazy price fluctuations. Hero of Sparta features awesome hack and slash gameplay through eight large 3D levels. The game is normally priced at $1.99, but it is on sale once again for $.99.
Which, if any, of these games are you going to pick up?
