Pocket God Gets Push Notifications, Send Mini-Game Challenges
August 19, 2009
Bolt Creative has been trying their hardest to make Pocket God an official game by adding all sorts of mini-games, their most recent being a Harbor Master-like piranha drawing game. Instead of adding yet another mini-game this week, they decided to take a different route and offer two-player challenges via push notifications.
You can now challenge a friend to a duel by simply accessing the top menu and tapping on the button directly below Feint. A menu will appear where you can choose a person from your buddy list to challenge to the mini-game of your choice. As long as the recipient has iPhone OS 3.0 and the updated version of Pocket God, they will receive the challenge via a push notification. In that same menu you can view pending challenges and the results of any challenges that have been completed.
This is a great way to get people to actually participate in the now wide variety of mini-games contained within Pocket God. So get out there and start challenging your friends and earning achievements!
The update also adds five new idle animations.
Pocket God is available in the App Store for $.99.
