Two Arcade Classics Updated And Released For iPhone: Pac-Man Remix And Q*bert Deluxe

Pac-Man and Q*bert are back in action on the iPhone and iPod touch, but they may not be exactly as you remember them. Namco released the original Pac-Man for the iPhone sometime late last year.  That version remained basically unchanged from the original arcade version, which many retro fans perfectly enjoy.  Now Namco has released a modernized version of this arcade classic with updated everything to appease the new age gaming crowd, and hopefully you retro fans can appreciate the direction they have taken as well. Pac-Man Remix is basically still the same Pac-Man, with on-screen d-pad, ghosts, and pellets, but it has been enhanced to the max!  Pac-Man Remix features new snazzy 3D graphics, boss battles, stage-specific gadgets, and power-up items to add to the fun.  Namco has been known for their high prices on their classic games, and this one is no different.  Pac-Man Remix is now available in the App Store for $5.99. Q*bert is back as Q*bert Deluxe for the iPhone and iPod touch.  This updated version features an Arcade mode for you old school fans, and a Modern mode with smooth, updated graphics.  Q*bert Deluxe also contains a brand new Jungle theme with new maps.  The developer has stated that the Jungle theme is just the beginning, regular updates will bring new themes and gameplay.  For those of you who aren't fans of accelerometer controls, don't fret, Q*bert can be controlled via touch or tilt.  Q*bert Deluxe is now available for $1.99. Other developers have released unofficial versions of Q*bert in the App Store in the past, all of which have been removed, so it's nice to finally see an official remake.
