Konami just released Krazy Kart Racers, a Mario Kart inspired racing game, for the iPhone and iPod touch.
"With Krazy Kart Racers, we wanted to maintain the overarching quality gameplay that Konami is committed to, while offering players the best experience possible in a kart racing game," said Anthony Borquez, Vice President of Konami Mobile and Online. "A fun and interactive title for all to play on-the-go, the rich features in Krazy Kart Racers will be sure to please both casual and hardcore gamers alike."
Krazy Kart Racers features a cast of 10 different memorable Konami gaming characters, such as Robbie Rabbit from Silent Hill fame and oddly enough, the frog from Frogger.  The game also features 16 courses, multiple power-ups, five single player modes, accelerometer and touch-based controls, and local and online multiplayer.  Online multiplayer supports up to six players at a time, which will definitely be the game's defining feature as long as enough players utilize it.  There is nothing worse than an online game with no one to play with. Krazy Kart Racers is now available in the App Store for $7.99.  Check out the gameplay trailer embedded below.
