It’s time to fire up Software Update or head to Apple’s website because iTunes 9.0.2 has been released and is available for download. The update is relatively trivial for us iPhone and iPod touch users, although some of you may be happy to hear that there is now an option for a dark grey background color in Grid View. Also, according to PreCentral.net, the update once again kills the Palm Pre’s ability to sync with iTunes.
iTunes 9.0.2 adds support for Apple TV software version 3.0, adds an option for a dark background for Grid View, and improves support for accessibility.
Like I said, there isn’t a whole lot to get excited about unless you have an Apple TV.
Ok, so I know I’m gonna feel like a dummy when you tell me that it’s right in front of my face, but how do choose the dark background for grid view once you update?
If you haven’t already figured it out by now…
Just go to Preferences in iTunes. Under the General tab look about half way down and you will see Grid View. There will be a drop down menu that will let you choose between light and dark.
Tyler… any idea if this new update will affect jailbroken phones in any way? I always like to check my P’s and Q’s before updating…
According to MuscleNerd, 9.0.2 doesn’t affect jailbroken phones in anyway.
