Documents To Go Finally Allows You To Create And Edit Excel Spreadsheets
October 1, 2009

Documents To Go already featured the ability to create, edit, and view Microsoft Word files, and view Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe PDF, and Apple iWork files. It even allowed you to keep your files in sync with a free companion application that works on both Macs and PCs via Wi-Fi. The biggest piece of the puzzle left out, however, was Excel support, but that is no longer the case.
Documents To Go v2.o now features the ability to create, edit, and view Microsoft Excel spreadsheet files. It includes support for both Excel 2007 and 2008. Although the iPhone's screen is relatively small, the UI Dataviz implemented does a decent enough job by allowing you to span across a spreadsheet with relative ease, and it even supports landscape mode for those wide spreadsheets. Documents To Go v2.0 update also includes a typing speed improvement for those of you with quick fingers.
Documents To Go is no longer available at its pre-update sale price, but you can still get the regular version for only $9.99 and the Exchange support version for $14.99.
Embedded below is a demonstration video of Documents To Go with Excel support.
