Gameloft Unveils Derek Jeter Real Baseball iPhone Game And Contest

Gameloft has just sent us a few details regarding their new iPhone and iPod touch baseball game titled Derek Jeter Real Baseball.  They also announced a contest to accompany this unveiling that begins immediately and ends on November 15th, but first a little bit about the game. As I stated only moments ago, Gameloft sent us only a few scant details regarding their new game.  According to Gameloft, Derek Jeter Real Baseball will sport some of the best graphics of any baseball simulation game currently available in the App Store.  It will feature "lifelike animations when batting, pitching, or catching," and it will also feature some sort of fancy new gauge to use for batting so your swings can be more precise. Gameloft has indicated that the game will be available "soon" at a price point that we can only guess will be somewhere around $6.99 like the rest of their new releases.  You can rest assured that more information will follow soon enough, including a gameplay trailer. Gameloft is also holding a relatively simple contest to promote the game.  To enter, print off the official target from Gameloft's website.  Then, record a video of yourself throwing a unique and accurate pitch at the target.  Once you are satisfied with your result, upload the video to their website.  Users will be allowed to vote for their favorite videos. The prizes are as follows: 1st - 3rd place winners will receive an iPod touch. 4th - 5th place winners will receive an official MLB jersey from their favorite time. 6th - 10th place winners will receive an official MLB cap from their favorite team. The contest begins immediately and ends on November 15th, and is limited to residents of the US and Canada.  The rest of the official rules can be found on Gameloft's website.
