We're getting rumors about a possible new music app that is a little on the edge when it comes to the App Store approval guidelines (it's like a trend these days).

Lala's app (from Lala music service, recently rumored to be partnering with Google) would allow you to purchase and listen to songs directly from your iPhone for as little as 10cents per song. The trick is that your music collection won't be stored on the device but streamed as you need it.

A further function would be the possibility of uploading your entire present music library on a remote server and being able to access it on the go. Seriously tho, can't you do this with iDisk already ? And music streaming isn't groundbreaking as apps like Spotify do it for a while now.

Wired nonetheless speculates that an approval of this app by Apple could possibly drive prices of online music down which would be welcome in this economy.

But would you really step out of the iTunes ecosystem for 10cents per song ?
