Joe Hewitt, the famous developer behind the App Store's Facebook app just announced that he will be moving on. He isn't leaving Facebook but he announced that he handed off the project to another engineer.
It's too bad indeed, the Facebook app became almost like an iPhone's core functionality and we were very eager to see their Push Notifications deployment.
Hopefully they'll be able to carry on with providing one of the App Store's most popular apps.
