iPhone-Powered Cops Can Bust You In No Time

The Tasmanian Police department has just deployed a couple iPhones to its troops with some nice custom apps.
Simply put, those Australian cops can now snap your plates using their iPhone and have their app crosscheck your plates with their database.
Not only the app led the police to a major drug bust only 10 minutes after its introduction, but in 10 days of use it helped them stop an impressive 167 unregistered vehicles and over a 100 drivers without a valid license.
So next time you see a cop with an iPhone, better hope he has no coverage.
