Tap Tap Revenge 3 Available For Free To Celebrate Oodles Of Downloads

Tap Tap Revenge 3 launched in the App Store in October to much fanfare.  The third installment of this highly acclaimed rhythm game series brought new online elements and downloadable song packs that have obviously been a huge hit among iPhone and iPod touch gamers, which is indicated by the ridiculously large download numbers.  To celebrate their success, Tapulous has decided to make Tap Tap Revenge 3 available for free. Tapulous has sold over one million songs via in-app purchase since the launch of Tap Tap Revenge 3, which has finally allowed the company to be profitable.  But it's not just about Tapulous' recent Tap Tap Revenge installment, as the overall install numbers in the series has passed the 20 million mark, and gamers have played over 600 million total games over the series' lifetime.

“The gaming industry has proven to be a valuable resource for digital music, and Tapulous is helping to lead the way,” said Eric Garland, CEO of the media measurement company BigChampagne. “Tap Tap Revenge 3 could prove to be the crowning achievement of music games on the iPhone, and I am not surprised by the great numbers it is doing, or the willingness of labels to get their music in the game.”
