Talking Carl is a pretty basic iPhone app that's full of character. When you speak to Carl, he'll repeat your words in his own unique voice. But there is more to him that just simple repetition, you can also interact with him. If you tickle Carl, he will laugh out loud. Poke his eyes and he will shout and yell at you. Pinch him to hear him grow, but do not forget about Carl, because he will grumble until you give him attention. Carl is even so polite that when you quit the app he will say goodbye.
Talking Carl is obviously best suited for the iPhone since it already has a microphone, but if you have an iPod touch you can now interact with Carl via an external mic thanks to the most recent update. If someone in your family owns a set of iPhone earphones, those will definitely do, or you can purchase a brand new set of third-party earphones with an integrated mic. Something like these, or even a different brand if you prefer.
