Apple Planning $1 TV Shows At iPad's Launch?
February 11, 2010

Could this be a reaction to the rumored Hulu threat? According to the Financial Times, Apple is considering lowering the price of some iTunes TV Shows to $1, down from $2. The sale would be something of an experiment and would coincide with the iPad's launch.
The test, expected to coincide with the April consumer debut of the iPad, will offer some shows at the lower price as a way to test whether reducing the cost of video programming will ignite sales, people familiar with the discussions said.
With the 15 shows I'm currently following, this is still way too expensive, but if confirmed, it's a step in the right direction.
