Games To Download For Free Today: Airbear, Hoppy, Vector Tanks, And Icy Escort

Airbear ($.99 -> Free): AirBear is a tilt and touch controlled jumping game that will have you bouncing a panda to new heights. In the game you will be drawing sticky trampolines to bounce the panda upwards while collecting bamboo rings. You must avoid the bombs, or the panda will get the stuffing knocked out of him. The game also features a falling game mode where the panda is equipped with a propeller hat, so it's kind of like two games in one.
Airbear features an adventure mode and an endless mode so you can post your high scores on OpenFeint and compete with friends. We have an in-depth review available for Airbear for anyone looking to learn a bit more.
Airbear will be free for the entire weekend as part of Origin8's February Freebie Fever promotion and in association with OpenFeint's free game of the day.
Hoppy ($.99 -> Free): A super simple yet addictive high score game. In Hoppy you control a red bouncing ball while attempting to not run into the other bouncing balls. As you bounce over and under all of the other balls, you will score points. Bonus points are awarded for bouncing over multiple balls, and there are various power-ups and items that you can collect. The game features online and local leader boards, and the choice of touch or tilt controls.
Hoppy will be available free for the entire weekend.
Vector Tanks ($.99 -> Free): A vector graphics combat game that will have you controlling a tank in a battle to the death. In the game you control the tank via on screen swipe gestures -- think of it as your thumbs acting as the tank's tracks. The idea of the game is to get the highest score possible by blowing up everything in your path by utilizing your single-mounted cannon and power-ups. You only get three lives though, so avoid all of the obstacles and enemy fire as much as you can.
Vector Tanks is on sale for one week to celebrate the release of Vector Tanks Extreme.
Icy Escort ($.99 -> Free): Another one of Donut Games' simple and fun games is free for a limited time, go figure. Icy Escort will have you controlling a mother penguin in order to collect ice cream and, of course, her baby penguins. The mother penguin moves left to right by herself, so you will only be controlling her jumping. But that's not to say the game isn't difficult. Icy Escort features power-ups, local leader boards, and 30 frosty levels.
Donut Games has indicated Icy Escort is free for a limited time.
