MusicSkins To Offer Exclusive Adult Swim Skins; iPad Versions In The Works

February 15, 2010

MusicSkins has always been a leader in music-related vinyl skins for a variety of tech devices, including the iPhone and iPod touch, but they recently began a search to find a way to expand their line-up to offer a more unique variety of products, and it looks as if they have found the perfect match: the Cartoon Network. MusicSkins announced a new licensing deal with the Cartoon Network at Macworld 2010 that gives the company exclusive rights to offer skins featuring characters, scenes, DVD covers, and other artwork from Adult Swim's animated programs.  The deal gives MusicSkins rights to market skins featuring characters and artwork from more than 35 Adult Swim animated programs, including Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Space Ghost, The Boondocks, Robot Chicken, Metalocalypse, Squidbillies, Venture Brothers, and many many more. The new Adult Swim skins will be made out of the same durable, reusable, and residue-free vinyl that MusicSkins uses for all of their products, so there will be no need to worry about the quality of the product.  We had a chance to get a close-up view of the new Adult Swim line at Macworld 2010, and as you can see in the images included in the post, they are as visually appealing as you would expect.  The Adult Swim skins should also be available for purchase on MusicSkins' website in about two weeks. The company also intends to offer iPad versions of all of their products right around the time the new device is launched.  The iPad versions will be priced a bit higher than the iPhone and iPod touch considering they will consist of more material.  Probably somewhere around the cost of a MacBook skin ($30).
