Thanks to the dedication and passion of an entire community of developers, the iPad App Store, which Apple will launch this Saturday, will come packed with tons of new apps for you to enjoy.
To make the wait smoother; hype you up; or maybe even influence your purchase decision, we managed to put together a comprehensive list of all the iPad apps that will be available for the iPad App Store grand opening. It’s not definitive, as the Oompa Loompas of the approval process will validate new ones everyday, but we’ll do our best to keep up with their magic.

“Mirror / for iPad” – I am wondering how this app will work since the iPad doesn’t even have a camera…?
It has a pretty border around the edge of the screen; that’s it. As for the mirror, that’d be the iPad’s glass surface which is somewhat reflective.

Would it be possible if the next time you made a long post such as this (or a lengthy review) you could put the majority of the text as a clickable link in your RSS feed. Personally, I really don’t enjoy scrolling for a mile and a half through a list of apps that I know I’ll probably never even buy since I won’t be getting an iPad anytime soon.
For that matter, if you could start tagging your posts with iPad/iPhone etc that would be awesome too, that way I could filter out stuff that isn’t relevant to my interests. Either that or create a separate RSS feed for iPad related stuff.
I really appreciate this list and all your guys’ hard work! I can only imagine how difficult it must be to write about technology and apps when so many other sites do the same thing. You guys do it well and it’s much appreciated! Also, I’m not sure why so many people are complaining about the site and asking for the structure/content to change, if you don’t like it; by all means don’t visit.

Speaking about my comment, I know I wasn’t complaining, but making a couple of simple requests. The writers here can choose to accept or ignore them, but no insult was meant or given. I feel as if I should use the term ‘constructive criticism’ but in all honestly, I wasn’t even criticizing anything.
I’m not sure why so many people are quick to jump to the “If you don’t like it, don’t visit the site” approach when something is said that isn’t 100% positive or a request for a change is made. Why must it be all or nothing? There are many many things that I enjoy about this site, and I certainly would not want to completely remove it from my RSS reader. That being said, I don’t think it’s too much to ask to request a couple of simple changes be made for the greater good of everyone. Sure, they could easily ignore my requests, but I’m not sure why they wouldn’t want all their readers to be as happy as possible especially when the requested changes wouldn’t really have a negative affect on anyone.
The bottom line is that this site started as an iPhone/iPod Touch site and now has morphed into a site that now does reviews for a completely separate new platform. Yes, I realize they are similar, but there are many people such as myself that would rather not read news/info/reviews about the iPad or filter it into a different priority level or folder.
Like I said, the writers/owners/editors here can add these features or not, it’s their choice. I was just providing feedback about my personal opinion about the site. I would hope they would use all feedback, both positive, negative, or neutral suggestions in order to make this site the best it can be. Either way, I surely hope that no one (of any importance anyway) takes the “If you don’t like it, leave” approach. I don’t see how that’s beneficial to anyone involved.

About the list, you can also add a “BeatMaker” app. Great for making music on iPhone. A bit costly, but big amount of features included too… I just got an update of the app today where the only change in the log is “added iPad suport”
Some aplications will sure get more usability on the bigger iPad screen, like f.ex. all the Piano playing apps. They should definetly be more usable and more natural to play, than on the small iPhone screen, where you have to scrool after every 2-3 notes.

Remmber when there used to be reviews and free iPhone games and apps posted as news and not nonstop ipad stuff that is months away? Anyone know a site that still does that?

Hey Danny and everyone else who misses iPhone news. It is still there. We are still publishing reviews of apps for the iPhone & iPod Touch everyday. On Friday we published a review with a chance to win copies as well. We post the latest iPhone news as well, such as new browsers and GeoHot’s latest jailbreak. Right now the iPad is dominating the news, but as devs start making news of the iPhone again we will cover with the same fervor we always have.
Currently have an iPad App waiting for approval – a body mass index (BMI) and basal metabolic rate (BMR) calculator and tracking App – bodyCal2 – http://mmisoftware.co.uk/ipad/bodycal2 – it was submitted before the 27th March deadline, so now just waiting….

Don’t know where you got your list but there must be a whole lot more than 100 iPad apps being released on April 3rd.
I have submitted four myself and one has been approved as of today ( 33-1/3 to LightSpeed – a short story about computers and technology). The other three are in the pipe to be approved.
Ironically, I submitted ‘Say it & Mail it Pro’ two weeks ago and it is still “In Review”.
