Control 'The Pinball' For Mac With Your iPhone For Free

Playing pinball games on your Mac is usually a fairly mundane experience, but thanks to Gameprom that no longer has to be the case.  The celebrated developers of The Deep, Wild West, and Jungle Style pinball for the iPhone and iPod touch have developed a free app called Pinball Remote that is able to control the developer's new Mac OS X pinball game wirelessly from your iDevice, which truly adds to the pinball smacking experience.  Making this deal even sweeter is the fact that you can try both the Mac game and iPhone app free of charge. The Pinball is Gameprom's new Mac pinball game that contains all three of their iPhone pinball games in one but with heavily spruced up graphics and effects.  The game can be played solely on your Mac without the iPhone app, but you can only play the Wild West table.  The other two tables must be unlocked via the iPhone app as $2.99 in-app purchases, basically making Pinball Remote an extension of the Mac game. Pinball Remote gives you full control of The Pinball via your local wireless network.  Just launch the game on your Mac, launch the app on your iPhone, and the two will sync up almost immediately.  Pinball Remote allows you to start, pause, and restart any game, and it also allows you to fire your plunger, control your left and right flippers, and change camera perspectives.  Flipper controls are extremely responsive and accurate from the short time I played, and the rumble effect adds to the overall experience. Some early iTunes reviewers have stated that the game doesn't perform properly at times with the flippers and balls disappearing, but this is only true if you are running a Mac with Intel GMA or ATI Radeon graphics cards. To remedy this issue you can simply turn off antialiasing and restart the game. If you have a Mac and an iPhone, iPod touch, or an iPad, you just have to give The Pinball and Pinball Remote a try.  It's a totally new pinball experience.
