iPad & Untethered iPhone Jailbreak To Be Released Tomorrow?
Good news jailbreak enthusiasts of all kinds, the iPhone dev-team just announced via its blog that an iPad, as well as an untethered iPhone 3GS jailbreak might hit us tomorrow [update: very soon?].
It's a userland jailbreak, which means that the procedure will apparently work through your browser and be easier than ever before. However, these kinds of jailbreaks are particularly bad for Apple, so expect them to close it very soon with a firmware update, which you of course should avoid.
Lastly, make also sure to backup you SHSH as soon as you can, so in case something goes wrong, you should still be able to downgrade your firmware in the future.
We'll keep you informed as soon as it happens.
In the meantime, what will be the first jailbreak app you'll try? I heard backgrounder works just fine already...
***Update
Alright, the timing might not be as definitive as we first thought and comex, the finder of the loophole pulled his tweet announcing the Friday release and is now pulling out apparently. We'll keep you posted.
