Heavy Gunner 3D Available For Free Today

Coms2uS has decided to jump on the free for a day bandwagon and has made their high octane dual-stick shooter, Heavy Gunner 3D, available for free today. Heavy Gunner 3D puts you in the cockpit of a sci-fi fighting machine that is armed with massive guns on each robotic arm.  The machine itself may remind some of you of those Matrix mechs, or more recently the ones from Avatar.  Either way, you will feel insanely powerful at the helm. In the game you are required to shoot down all of your flying foes by controlling each gun via on-screen joysticks.  Each of your two guns move separately, and our perspective can be changed by tilting and turning your device.  The tilt controls coupled with the dual-stick controls may take a bit of getting used to, but once you do, you will be blasting baddies without a problem. The game features 35 campaign missions, five survival levels, upgradeable weapons, online leaderboards and rankings, and social networking features. Heavy Gunner 3D is normally available in the App Store for $4.99, but today (4/22/10) it is available for free.  That's a pretty big markdown, so don't miss out on this one. This amazing deal only applies to the iPhone version of the game.  The iPad version is still priced at $4.99.
