VOIP API Will Finally Let Skype Run in the Background

It's official! A new developer API in iPhone OS 4.0 will allow Skype to run in the background, allowing you to receive calls through both a VOIP service, like Skype, and your network provider.
Running Skype in the background will show a double-height status bar and calls received whilst running in the background will show in a pop-up. This means no more switching back to Skype every time you want to place a VOIP call and the pop up window allows you to continue what you're doing without the worry of missing a call.
