Windows Live Messenger For iPhone On Its Way, Coming In June

April 28, 2010

Windows Live Messenger users yearning for a native iPhone app need not run to third party clients any more once June rolls around. Neowin managed to obtain exclusive screen shots of the forthcoming iPhone application. According to the site:

The application will arrive in June alongside the rest of Windows Live Wave 4. According to our sources, Microsoft will unveil the next generation of Windows Live Messenger tomorrow but will not ship bits to public beta until June. A limited private beta is expected to take place in May.

Windows Live Messenger will include the industry standards for an IM client: chat, photo sharing and a stream for reviewing social updates among various networks. The interface has the initial appearance of its desktop counterpart but just ported to the confines of the iPhone screen. Have a look at the screen shots and let us know what you think.
