Words With Friends HD On Sale For The Same Price As The iPhone Version

Words With Friends HD is basically Scrabble, but with more of a focus on social play. When creating a game you can choose to play against someone from your contact list, find a friend via user name, get paired up with a random opponent, or play locally via pass and play. Since it is a turn-based affair, you can have up to 20 games going on at the same time and simply wait to receive a push notification when it is your turn. Well actually, that's not the case for this iPad version, at least not yet.
This first version of Words With Friends HD has had a bit of a rough start thanks to push notifications not working properly. The team at Newtoy decided to disable the feature for now and will be submitting an update that should fix the issue and get you back to your asynchronous multiplayer word gaming very soon. Who knows, this could actually be the very reason for the sale. If so, their loss is your gain.
Some iPhone Words With Friends players may see a problem with paying for the same game twice, but at $1.99, the pain may just be eased a bit. This is a limited time sale, so don't let it pass you up.
