Battle Bears -1 Screenshots And Gameplay Trailer Revealed

June 20, 2010

It took a little longer than we initially anticipated, but Battle Bears -1 has finally been submitted to Apple for approval and should be hitting the App Store sometime next week.  To hold you over until then, we have some brand new screenshots and a gameplay trailer to show off.  But first, a few new details regarding the title. Battle Bears -1 is actually being called a double prequel, as its story takes place a full two games before the original Battle Bears.  The game is an entirely third-person affair, allowing you to explore the environments and blast colorful teddy bears via two on-screen joysticks. For $.99 you will get Oliver's story campaign, survival modes, and boss trials.  Riggs' story campaign will be available as a $.99 in-app purchase and will include new levels, cut scenes, and a single new boss.  Both campaigns will be updated with new weapons and mid-bosses.  Melee weapons, new character campaigns, local multiplayer co-op, and much more will be added via future updates as well. Battle Bears -1 was originally intended to be an iPhone- and iPod touch-only title, but the team recently decided to bring it to the iPad as well.  You won't have to pay for it twice, however, as SkyVu Pictures has full intentions of making it a universal app. Brand new screenshots and the official gameplay trailer for Battle Bears -1 can be viewed below.
