Why Jailbreak: OpenOpera

June 2, 2010

The iPhone Opera browser can be very convenient at times, but there is one small problem with it: links won't open in it by default. Instead, we've been stuck settling for Safari so far every time we tap a link in any app, but not anymore as a kind developer has decided to make this possible. It's called OpenOpera. OpenOpera is a new Cydia application for jailbroken iPhones/iPod Touchs allowing Opera to become your iPhone's default browser.  This mean that all links you tap from now on will be opened in Opera directly. It is available via the BigBoss repository, it's completely free and even has it own SBSettings toggle. Go check it out.
