WordPress Update Adds Retina Display Optimization, Multitasking, And More
June 21, 2010
On the go blogging is about to get a little clearer and quicker thanks to the recent update to the WordPress app, which now sports retina display optimization, fast app switching, and few other handy new features.
Besides the addition of retina display optimization and fast app switching, WordPress v2.5 also contains a new "add blog" feature that allows you to add all of your Wordpress.com blogs in a single step, better handling of drafts in progress when quitting the app, and a bunch of performance enhancements, UI improvements, and bug fixes.
Those of you who won't be getting an iPhone 4 this week won't be able to take advantage of the retina display optimization, of course, and if you haven't updated to iOS 4 you won't be able to utilize fast app switching, so get to it!
WordPress for iPhone and iPad, for those of you who aren't aware, is an open source app that allows iPhone and iPad users to write posts, upload photos, edit pages, and manage comments on their blog while on the move. And the best part is, it's totally free. Check it out in the App Store now.
