Chase Mobile App Joins Small Number of iPad-Specific Banking Apps
July 7, 2010
Another bank has come to the iPad. JP Morgan Chase & Co. has released its first Mobile Banking App for Apple’s latest device.
Chase Online Banking customers can pay bills and credit cards, as well as see account balances and transaction history from the app. In addition, users can transfer money between accounts and send wire transfers. For those on the road, the Chase Mobile iPad app will help find the nearest bank branches and ATMs. Surprisingly, this latest banking app is one of the few released for the iPad since its debut this spring. While BankSA, E*Trade and NAB have iPad apps, others are late to the party. Bank of America, PNC Bank and Wells Fargo, for example, have iPhone apps, but have not yet released iPad-specific apps. The overall number of financial apps for the iPad stands at just 156, while the number for the iPhone is approaching 3,300. The Chase Mobile iPad app is free to download and free to use for all Chase Online Banking customers.
