iDygest Aggregates Apple News In Your Pocket

July 18, 2010

If you like to keep tabs on everything Apple, you know it can be a lot of work. Indeed, from apps, to rumors and other analyst inventions, there are tons of articles to skim through and depending on your fanboyism, it can become too much. Well, there is Techmeme of course, and other similar aggregators, but they don't have any official native apps and they don't only focus on what you're really looking for: Apple.

Now, there is an app for that. It's called iDygest, it's free of charge, and its approach to providing you with news is actually quite interesting. Unlike regular aggregators, each story is presented through a selection of excerpts from multiple sources.

It's a great tool for skimming over all your Apple news everyday. There are some limitations; it might not always have up to the minute news and sometimes it won't give you that in-depth analysis you might enjoy. If you have a short attention span, however, it should do. A nice touch: AppAdvice is one of iDygest's sources (please don't leave our app behind).

iDygest is available now for free, in the App Store.
