AppAdvice First To Serve Retina Resolution Icons For All Apps

August 31, 2010
Allow us to "toot our own horn" and tell you folks about a new feature we just rolled out to your very favorite AppAdvice app. Thanks to some amazing back-end work we've done over the weekend, the AppAdvice app is now serving app icons in retina resolution. This means that the icons of the apps we mention in the AppAdvice app will be crisp and clear for you to enjoy. Why are we so proud of it? Well, because nobody else has this, not even Apple's own App Store app, as you can see in the screenshot above (App Store on the left, AppAdvice app on the right). Pretty neat right? I know. So if you have an iPhone 4, launch the AppAdvice app now (make sure to have high-res graphics turned on in the app settings) and go look at some app icons, you won't regret it. Also, to celebrate the new feature, we have a little treat for you, as we're giving away 10 free copies of the app for you to enjoy. If you're interested, just leave a comment below or retweet this post and we'll draw 10 of you at random and send you an AppAdvice app promo-code. You have until tomorrow night, good luck!
