TiltShift Generator Free - Fake Miniature (Free) by Art & Mobile lets you try out the trendy TiltShift lens (as described in the AppList, Photographer’s Kit). If you were intrigued but didn’t want to shell out the $.99, you’re in luck. Now there is a lite version, so you can check it out for free. You won’t get full resolution photos; for that you’ll need to upgrade to the paid version. But otherwise, all of the functionality is the same.
This app has the effect of making your photos look dreamy, or like a toy version of reality. It can be really fun to play around with. Simply upload a photo from your album (or take one in-app) and you get your fake miniature photo within seconds. Of course, you can play around with the parameters to customize the effect.
Tap “Blur”, then select a round or linear area of demarkation. Adjust the size of that area, and the rest will blur. Tap “Color” to adjust the saturation, brightness, and contrast. Tap “Vig.” to adjust the vignetting.
Tap “Save” to save your creation to your camera roll or export to e-mail, Twitter, or Facebook. In the “Setting” mode you can adjust the resolution (ranging from 320x427 to 768x1024), choose which accounts to which you’d like to export photos, a tutorial, and more. You even get links to TiltShift photography communities on Flickr, Facebook, and BigCanvas PhotoShare.
