Apple Special Fall Event: The Big Recap

Apple’s special event is now over. There weren’t any big surprises, but Steve Jobs still announced a bunch of really awesome products. Here is a recap of what has been announced. Follow the links to access all the details:

First off, Steve started with his traditional update on how successful iOS really is. Apparently, it’s still blowing Android out of the water:

Then, Steve announced a new version of iOS. Called iOS 4.1, it’s bringing a lot of new features:

Next up, Steve offered us a sneak peak of the next version of iOS, version 4.2, which will also be coming to the iPad. Check out all the details:

Then, and probably the biggest ticket item of the day; Steve announced a brand new iPod touch. It has FaceTime, a Retina display and so on:

Apple also updated the iPod shuffle:

Next up, iTunes 10 is launching today. It has plenty of new features and a social twist to it called Ping:

Also, Apple, as expected, updated Apple TV. It’s now much smaller and has a lot of great inexpensive content. No apps though:
