EA Kicks Off The NFL Regular Season With A Price Drop On Madden NFL 11 For iPhone And iPad

September 9, 2010
Today's the big day, folks!  The NFL regular season kicks off with a huge rematch between my favorite team of all-time, the Minnesota Vikings, and the Super Bowl champions, the New Orleans Saints.  To celebrate this clash, EA has dropped the price of both the iPhone and iPad versions of Madden NFL 11 to their lowest ever. Madden NFL 11 for iPhone ($7.99 -> $4.99) includes a new feature called “Total Defensive Control,” which allows you to create hot routes and change plays on the fly on defense just as you can on offense.  The game features completely updated graphics and rosters, with nearly 2,000 real-life players available.  It also features multiple modes of play, including a full 16-game season mode, playoff mode and local multiplayer, so you can go head-to-head against a friend. Check out our in-depth review of Madden NFL 11 for iPhone here. Madden NFL 11 for iPad ($12.99 -> $9.99) is nearly identical feature-wise, except it is currently lacking a multiplayer mode, although EA has promised to add it via a free update. The iPad version will also eventually be gaining an exclusive “Vintage Voltage Football” mode, which will apparently resemble those old electronic football games you used to play with. Check out our in-depth review of Madden NFL 11 for iPad here. Now it's time for that obligatory question: Are you ready for some football?
