Is A New Remote App Coming From Apple?

Along with a new Apple TV model, is Steve Jobs about to update his company's Remote app?
If you look very carefully at the new screenshot on Apple's remote control page, it is clear that the app looks a little bit different than the existing app. It appears that the updated app includes something to do with controlling your Apple TV with multitouch gestures and a help button at the top of the screen. The existing app does not have the same features.
The Remote App was last updated in November, so a refresh is certainly a possibility (and a necessity). Yet, as we told you before: the app is maintained by just one person at Apple, though that might have changed by now.
The Remote app can control Apple TV and users' iTunes library on a Mac or PC. The existing version is available for free in the Apple App Store.
