Beating A Dead Horse: The "Real" Reason Behind The Missing White iPhone?

October 27, 2010
Apple just announced the third delay of its long promised white iPhone 4. Now, the Cupertino, California-based company assures us that it is coming next spring. Cult Of Mac thinks it has found the real reason for the white iPhone 4's delay:
The white iPhone 4 can’t take accurate photographs. The handset’s semi-translucent glass case leaks light in, ruining pictures taken with the internal camera, especially when the built-in flash is used.
“You don’t get accurate pictures on the white iPhone because of the color of the glass back. It washes out the pictures,” said a source with connections to Apple who asked to remain anonymous.
Never mind the reason. Apple should just drop the idea and wait until the release of the expected iPhone 5 next summer. Besides, as many of our readers have told us, there is a simple solution for those that really want an ivory iPhone: buy a white case.
