October 28, 2010
Verizon and Apple are finally teaming up. No, still no announcement on a Verizon iPhone. Starting today, Verizon is selling Wi-Fi only versions of the iPad both online and at its Verizon Wireless Stores.
The company is bundling Apple’s device with a MiFi 2200 mobile hotspot. Prices are $629 (16GB), $729 (32GB) and $820 (64 GB). Data plans for use with the hotspot begin at $20. Note that these plans do not require a monthly contract.
You can also purchase the iPad without the bundle for $499 (16GB), $599 (32GB) and $699 (64GB).
