iOS Devices Topping Kids Christmas Lists

November 24, 2010
Apple has very successfully penetrated the market with their iOS devices. Kids between the ages of six and 12 are putting the iPad, iPod touch and the iPhone at the top of their lists this year. A recent study by the Nielsen Wire puts iPads on the list of 30% of kids. The iPod touch is at 29%. While the iPhone is only at 20%. It still seems a bit crazy for a 12 year old kid to have an iPhone, but that’s just me. Interestingly, a computer is less desirable to kids than an iPad. We have also reached a point where gaming consoles are not the big thing. The iPad and iPod touch clearly show that these may be a thing of the past for many kids. All of this leads to one very simple conclusion: iPad sales will be huge this holiday season. Are your kids wanting an iPod touch or an iPad rather than a gaming console?
