Verizon Tries To Sell A Motorola Droid X Using An iPhone App Screenshot

November 30, 2010
Verizon must really want the iPhone. So much so, it has apparently featured Apple’s handset on its Cyber Monday ad without actually mentioning (or showing the device itself). The ad shows one of the carrier’s top selling smart phones, the Motorola Droid X with a screen display showing Google Maps. But the phone shows the iPhone version of Google’s app! Clearly, someone in Verizon’s art department was taken to task over this mishap. AT&T will no doubt enjoy spreading this holiday cheer! [Photo: Engadget]
